Royal Caribbean’s Royal Beach Club in Nassau: Is It Worth the Price?

If you’re sailing to Nassau, Bahamas on a Royal Caribbean cruise, The Royal Beach Club Paradise Island is there first all-inclusive beach club, designed exclusively for Royal Caribbean guests looking for a hassle-free day in paradise.

Unlike Perfect Day at CocoCay, this experience isn’t included in your cruise fare. So, what exactly do you get for the price, and is it worth adding to your vacation?

How to get there?

Located on Paradise Island, just a short tender ride from the Nassau cruise port. Once you exit your ship, head down the walkway. Before you exit the port on the left side you will see several signs for Royal Beach Club. You will give them your sail and sign card to scan. They will load the tender before taking you just a few short minutes around the pier to the opposite side where you will exit on to the dock of Paradise Island.

Three Unique Beach & Pool Areas

One of the biggest highlights is the variety of places to spend your day. Lifeguards are on duty in all areas for your safety. There are also attendants that will bring your drinks to your chairs and pool side.

Chill Beach

If you are looking to relax. Comfortable lounger chairs with umbrellas with pool and access to the beach.

Paradise Beach

A family-friendly area featuring with a zero-entry pool lots of lounge chairs and umbrellas also access to the beach.

Party Cove

Party Cove features a live DJ and a swim up bar with lots of fun! A variety of chairs and umbrellas.

All the areas have ample seating and beautiful views!

Beaches Included

Your admission gives you access to two beautiful white-sand beaches complete with umbrellas and chairs. The beach has soft sand and clear water. There was a little bit of seaweed when we were there but this will vary. The waves were not overwhelming and great for swimming.

Live Entertainment

Throughout the day you’ll find live musicians playing fun Bahamian music. The DJ will be spinning in the Party Cove. There are beach games like cornhole, paddleball, ping pong, axe-throwing sets, outdoor billiards where you can use your feet, and more family activities. The atmosphere feels like a beach festival mixed with a luxury resort.

Included Amenities

Your day pass includes High-speed Wi-Fi, towels, lockers, beach chairs and umbrellas. The round-trip tender boat transportation right from port was easy. There were plenty of restrooms and showers to rinse off the sand. The restrooms were always clean, and they kept fans on the floors to try to keep them dry.

VIP Upgrades

If you’re celebrating something special or traveling with a group, you can upgrade to Cabanas. There are Beach cabanas, Pool cabanas, day beds or the Ultimate Family cabana if you are looking for the upgrade. This is definitely not needed unless it is something you really want. There were plenty of chairs and spaces to enjoy without spending the extra money.

How Much Does It Cost?

Keep an eye on the price, as some package options were offered at different times and pricing varied around sales. We paid $110 for the unlimited open bar pass for the adults and the kids non-alcoholic pass I was able to get a package with the refreshments package to save some money.

Typical pricing ranges include:

·         Non-Alcoholic Day Pass: approximately $80–$180 per person

·         Unlimited Open Bar Pass: approximately $100–$230 per person

Is It Worth It?

If you were already planning to:

·         Visit a beach

·         Rent chairs

·         Buy lunch

·         Purchase drinks

·         Pay for transportation

·         Stay connected with Wi-Fi

…the Royal Beach Club can actually offer excellent value while eliminating the stress of planning your own beach day.

It’s especially appealing for:

·         First-time visitors to Nassau

·         Families

·         Couples

·         Groups of friends

·         Guests who want an all-inclusive experience

On the other hand, budget-conscious travelers who simply want to explore Nassau, visit Junkanoo Beach, or walk around downtown can still enjoy a wonderful port day for much less.

Final Thoughts

Royal Caribbean has created something that feels like a hybrid between a luxury all-inclusive resort and a private island experience. The Royal Beach Club Paradise Island delivers beautiful beaches, excellent food, unlimited drinks, entertainment, and premium amenities—all wrapped into one convenient package.

While it isn’t inexpensive, many cruisers will appreciate knowing exactly what they’re paying for before they even step off the ship.

If your ideal vacation includes relaxing under a beach umbrella with unlimited food, tropical drinks, and crystal-clear Bahamian water just steps away, this may quickly become one of the most popular shore excursions in Nassau. Nassau is a frequent port in the Caribbean after you have explored things Nassau has to offer this Beach Club is a great pick! I would 100% consider doing it again on our next Royal Caribbean cruise.

Travel Tip: Reserve your Royal Beach Club pass as soon as it becomes available in your Cruise Planner. Prices often fluctuate, and popular sailings can sell out well before embarkation.
