We did a four park challenge during one of the busiest times of the year. Our original plan was try try to do 1 Photo, 2 Rides, 1 meal/snack and a character photo. When it came to the day my kids who are not super into character meets decided to take that part out. I will preface with we were not saying on park property so no early hours and we opted not to buy Genie+. My original plan was to go to Animal Kingdom then drive to Epcot take the Skyliners to Hollywood Studios and then a bus to Magic Kingdom and then take the Monorail back to the car at Epcot.
We started out day at Animal Kingdom on our way in we grab some donuts from the Joffer’s cart my kids love the giant donuts so it was a must! Heading to Avatar Flight of Passage we were towards the front of the pack at the opening of the general public. We waited about 45 minutes and I must say I do love this ride. The listed wait time when we arrived was already at 55 minutes as we were walking to the ride. Then we headed over to the Safari where the listed wait time was 65 minutes. We were on in about 50 minutes. The Safari is always special, I love to see all of the different animals. We took a few pictures and were off to the next park. As we left we decided to head to Hollywood Studios next because it had taken us a bit longer at Animal Kingdom than we originally planned and the only reservation we had was there and we didn’t want to miss it. This meant we could take the Skyliner to Epcot and then the Monorail to Magic Kingdom and then we would just take a bus at the end of the night back to Hollywood Studios.
Made it to Hollywood Studios and boy was it crowded! We headed to Toy Story Mania on of our favourites. We waited about an hour. The kids were getting hungry so I did a mobil order from PizzeRizzo as we went in to watch Muppet 3D Vision. Came out to get our mobile order and walked over to the Baseline Tap House and enjoyed a drink and pretzel and ate pizza. We had a reservation for Oga’s Cantina. My oldest loves Star Wars and I had never been able to get a reservation here before. So we ordered some fun drinks. Then went and took some pictures and headed out to the Skyliners.
On to Epcot! We went to ride Soarin around the world waited about 45 minutes for this ride. Another ride I love and is a must ride for us! Then we hopped on Living with the Land, my kids think this one is boring but I like it. Then we walked the world showcase and tried a variety of things from the Flower and Garden outdoor kitchens. We love to try the festival foods. I have found my kids will try more things while we are at Disney than when we are at home. My kids wanted the Front Loops Shake they loved it this was over by Test Track. Tried the chocolate mousse terrarium with matcha crumble and chocolate soil my kids didn’t really like the match on top but overall it was very chocolate! In Japan, My oldest wanted to try the Watermelon-Stawberry Lemonade he loves all things lemonade. Out of all of the things we all liked the Morocco grilled lamb and chicken kebabs with carrot-chickpea salad and garlic aioli. The Beignet caramelise and the Gateau au cremeux citron from France were so good. In Canada we tried the beef tenderloin tips and seared scallops both of which were good. Epcot wouldn’t be complete without some ice cream from Swirled showcase and a Violet Lemonade at the Pineapple Promenade. As we walked to the exit and took some pictures with the Epcot ball. Hopped on the Monorail over to Magic Kingdom.
Magic Kingdoms Happily Ever After fireworks were going off as we entered the park so I took us the back way to Tomorrowland to ride one of my kids favourites Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin. We road once with no wait at all while the fireworks were still going and once more with about a 7 minute wait. Then we headed over to Adventure Land where we road Pirate’s of the Caribbean the wait was only about 30 minutes. Then stopped to get a funnel cake and a couple of pretzels and sat near the Castle to enjoy the view. Took a few more pictures on Main Street as we headed out and over to the busses. Found the bus back to Hollywood Studios and waited about 10 minutes for the bus.
All in all we made it to all four parks during one of the busiest times of year. We had a wonderful long day! We ended up walking 10 miles! We enjoyed our day and am happy that we tried the four park challenge. The parks were extremely busy and lines were long for everything, we wanted to test things without using any perks, no early park times or genie plus. While, I do think if we would have opted to spend the extra money we could have probably rides a few more rides. Hollywood Studios is by far the biggest challenge because of the long wait times for almost every ride. If I would have purchased Genie Plus I would have stacked a few lightning lane passes for Hollywood Studios. Once we got to Magic Kingdom we could have probably ridden one other ride but we tied. I hope if you are thinking about doing a 4 park challenge you will let me know how it went!
