We recently took a five-night cruise on the Carnival Breeze out of Galveston, Texas. There were two stops in Mexico and a sea day on either side. The ship was last renovated in April of 2022 and is set to dry dock in February of 2027. Part of the Dream class holding 3,690 passengers at double occupancy, most sailings sail over capacity. Let’s go deck by deck, and I will tell you a little about what areas we liked.

Deck 1 &2 – Staterooms
Mainly interior and ocean view staterooms
Deck 3 – Atrium, Theater & Guest Services
Public Spaces
- Guest Services & Shore Excursions Desk
- Dreams Studio (professional photography)
- Atrium & Atrium Bar: we found this bar easy to get drinks from without much of a wait
- Ovation Theater (lower level)
What happens here
- Live music in the Atrium (string trios, Latin bands, or DJ sets) and dancing.
- Bingo, game shows, and Live shows in the theater. I enjoyed sitting on the fourth floor to be able to see the shows
Tip: This is a great place to grab a drink before dinner and catch early evening entertainment.
Deck 4 – Entertainment Venues & Dining
Public Spaces
- Ovation Theater (upper level)
- Library Bar (quiet lounge), there were board games and books to borrow
- Blush Main Dining Room, this area was nice, the only thing I didn’t love was the windows had blinds because of the position of where the venue is on the ship. Several of the blinds were broken from where people had tried to look out and pull on them and it just made the space look more worn than it needed to.
- Sapphire Dining room, which is my time dining room.
- Circle “C” (ages 12–14)
- Club O2 (ages 15–17)
- Arcade area is near Circle C

Deck 5 – Promenade (Main Social & Nightlife Deck)
Key Venues
- Ocean Plaza an area that was used for many different things like trivia, live music, crafts, other activities as well.
- RedFrog Pub, this area was a great place to grab a drink and listen to some music
- Alchemy Bar, this bar does not have soft drinks, I learned the hard way after waiting several minutes that you have to go over to the coffee shop.
- Coffee Shop, specialty coffees
- Piano Bar 88, this area is always a fun time! The piano player was very good, I stopped by a few times.
- Limelight Lounge (Punchliner Comedy Club) the comedians on board were pretty good. We went to a few shows. This area also held Karaoke.
- Liquid Nightclub was the place to be for the late night party where the DJ would be late into the night.
- Shops, the typical cruise ship shopping areas with sales daily
- Bonsai Sushi, an upcharge restaurant, was never overcrowded during our cruise.
- Fahrenheit 555 Steakhouse, an upcharge steakhouse
- Casino is fairly large and has a wide variaty of games
- Promenade around the outer deck has 4 spas there are also several seating areas around the outside deck. This space was one of our favorite areas.

Deck 6,7,8 & 9 – Stateroom Decks
Staterooms of a variaty of types

Perfect for reading, napping, or watching the sunset without the crowds. We enjoyed this space several times druing our cruise and we were always able to find a place to sit or lay. I enjoyed this space and the lounge chairs were much more confortable.

Final Thought
We enjoyed our time on the Carnival Breeze. I really did like the ship layout; it was easy to find our way around. The food options were good, and while we did not eat at any of the upcharge restaurants, there always seemed to be space available. The adults-only area was nice. There were also a lot of things for kids to do on this ship.
