Lets face it Disney is expensive and they don’t offer a lot of discounts but for the Military these rates are great. I have friends who are active duty who visit Disney several times a year. For them getting an Annual Pass is more expensive than buying tickets for each visit because of their Military pricing.
Room Discounts are available for most nights from January 1, 2022 thru December 16, 2022 as well as Military Salute tickets. Resort Room Only reservations are available thru travel professionals and we here at D626 Destinations would be so happy to help you plan your magical vacation.
Who is Eligible?
According to the Disney website, active or retired members of the National Guard, Reservists, the US Coast Guard, the US Space Force, the Commissioned Corps of the Public Health Service (PHS), and the Commissioned Corps of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) are all eligible. Spouses of Military Service Members also qualify if they are able to present valid and active US Military IDs in the absence of active or retired Military Personnel or Commissioned Corps Members. You must be able to present your Military ID at time of check in.
Some Resorts and Rooms Excluded
There are some Disney resorts that are not available as well as some room types. The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, The Campsites at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort, Disney’s Pop Century Resort and Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort are not available for this discount.
The following room types are also not available to book with this discount, 3-bedroom villas, suites in Moderate and Deluxe Resort hotels, Cabins at Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, The Little Mermaid Standard Rooms at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort and Bungalows at Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows. That may seem like a lot is excluded but there are still so many great options!
Pricing & Savings
The Salute tickets can be purchased in 4 or 5 day tickets as broken out below according to the Disney website. All Salute tickets must be purchased at participating US military sales outlets by Eligible Service Members. These tickets must be purchased at U.S. Military Bases, Shades of Green and Walt Disney World Resort theme park windows.
These tickets are a great discount; we looked at some weeks to get an idea of the discoun, I picked a random week in June and a 4 day park hopper pass is $539 per person, that same week the 5 day is $575. If you wanted to celebrate and go the week of Thanksgiving that same 4 day park hopper pass would be $610 and the 5 day park hopper would be $645.
