Top 5 Epcot Restaurants for Families

If your kids are anything like mine they can be pretty picky eaters. Plus my oldest has some significant food allergies so finding a place that everyone enjoys can be a challenge. Epcot has so many restaurants and quick service pavilions it can be daunting to figure out which one to eat at. Take it from someone who’s eaten at almost every restaurant in Epcot, these are our top 5 Epcot restaurants with kids. For other tips on planning a Disney World vacation with kids check out our best tips.

#5: Chefs de France (France)

None of us were super impressed with this one. The portions were relatively small, especially for a hungry family that had been walking around the park all day. The food was on the fancier side and the kids menu was pretty thin. All-in-all, it wasn’t a fan-favorite for our kids. It still beats out some other restaurants that didn’t make this list like Teppan Edo in Japan or La Cellier in Canada, but we all agreed this probably wouldn’t be a place we’d eat again.

#4: La Hacienda de San Angel (Mexico)

Mexican food is hit or miss with our kids. The youngest loves Mexican and wants to eat it all the time. And he eats more than a basic quesadilla or taco, he loves an enchilada. The two older kids are spotty whether or not they are in the mood for Mexican. The food here was pretty good, and I definitely recommend it if you’re a family that enjoys quality Mexican cuisine. Plus there’s everyone’s favorite, unlimited chips and salsa as soon as you sit down. The best part? Amazing views of the World Showcase. The dining room sits right on the water and provides a beautiful backdrop for lunch or dinner. If our favorites were full, we’d definitely go back here again.

#3: Via Napoli (Italy)

What kid doesn’t love pizza? And what kid wouldn’t be fascinated by their 1/2 meter pizza? Plus you can actually watch them make the pizza and see them cook in the giant pizza oven. The food here is excellent and the portions are pretty good. Definitely a good place to load up on a carb-heavy meal after a long day of walking around Epcot. Honestly, as much as my kids love a good pizza, I was shocked at the fact that it was only their 3rd favorite place to eat in Epcot.

Look at that face; about to devour a 1/2 meter pizza!

#2: Nine Dragons (China)

This one shocked me. But not as much as #1 does. We were weary about whether the kids would like the food here, but we really wanted to eat at every restaurant in Epcot so we took a chance and got a reservation. Surprisingly, the children all loved it! The pickiest eaters among them tried the Honey Crispy Chicken and still raves about it to this day. The adult menu is robust and features some great main courses like Honey Sesame Chicken, Canton Pepper Beef and Kowloon Spare Ribs. I promise you can’t go wrong if you can get a reservation here.

#1: Spice Road Table (Morocco)

This was the first ever restaurant we tried in Epcot and I never would have expected it to be such a family favorite. We ate here our first year going to Walt Disney World, only because we did very little preparation and this was the only place that we could get as walk-ins. I thought maybe the kids would try some chicken or fill up on Naan. We never really eat Mediterranean food at home so I wasn’t sure how they would like the flavors but they loved it. The Naan Spreads appetizer is a great starter and comes with hummus, chermoula, marinated olives and Za’atar to dip your warm naan bread slices into. The kids really enjoyed the Spiced Chicken. Though they aren’t yogurt fans so they didn’t like the mint yogurt dip that comes with it. But overall this remains a great place to dine. On top of the great food, you get to eat right on the water giving you decent views that are only beat by La Hacienda de San Angel (which wins out because the dining room is on the second floor giving you a broader view of the lagoon). Spice Road Table does have a fireworks dining option where you can enjoy some great food and drinks all with a spectacular view of the fireworks. The only downside is, it can be pretty pricey. But if you want to ensure a good spot for the show and are willing to splurge a little bit I definitely recommend it.

It might not be a family favorite but Teppan Edo (Japan) is definitely and adult favorite!

There are so many more places to eat in Epcot and depending on your palette other dining options like Regal Eagle Smokehouse (America), or Biergarten Restaurant (Germany) or Akershus Royal Banquet Hall (Norway) might be more up your alley. We don’t spend a lot of time in the America pavilion and while the barbecue is good, there’s so many places here in the US to get good BBQ. Germany and Norway didn’t have foods that our kids really enjoyed.

What’s your family favorite restaurant in Epcot?
