I have a friend that I helped plan a one day Magic Kingdom trip with their almost one year old! This was the plan I came up with. There were a few things on there must do list, they had gotten reservation for a baby first hair cut and taking lots of picture were must. They wanted to meet a few characters and ride Dumbo, Tea Cups and Jungle Cruise. My first advice was just have a loose plan, things may have to change while you are there, due to lots of reasons but setting expectations is important. No one can do every thing at Magic Kingdom in one day!
Park hours 9 AM – 10PM for chosen day. Just remember from the parking lot too the entrance of Magic Kingdom will take you 20 to 30 minutes!
Morning
8:00 AM – 8:30 AM Arrival and Park Entry
- Arrive early to go through security and be ready for park opening. Bringing a stroller will take a bit of extra time.
- Grab a park map for a souvenir. (you can always grab a fresh one on the way out)
8:30 AM – Main Street, U.S.A. (if you are staying on Disney property you may want to be a bit earlier since you can get in at 8:30)
- Head to the front of the rope drop line
9:00 AM – Fantasyland
- The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh takes you thru the hundred acer woods in a giant honey pot.
- Mad Tea Party spin or don’t in you tea cup on this iconic ride
- Dumbo the Flying Elephant Toddlers truly do love this one! There’s also an indoor play area in the queue.
You should be able to complete these three things before 10:00 AM leaving some time to take a break for changing/feeding or a quick nap! Maybe even grab a giant Cinnamon Roll from Gaston’s Tavern.
10:30 AM – Fantasyland
- Meet Disney Princesses at Princess Fairytale Hall. Choose characters like Cinderella and Elena of Avalor.
- Prince Charming Regal Carrousel choose your horse to take a ride
- Mobile order a Foot-Long or some Corn Dog Nuggets from Casey’s Corner!
- Take some pictures with the Castle and walk inside to see the beautiful artwork
Early Afternoon

1:00 PM Main Street to Adventureland
- Meet Mickey at Town Square Theater meeting Mickey is a must!
- Walt Disney World Railroad – Main Street, U.S.A. head to the train stop and do a loop around the park and let your little one rest. I recommend getting off at the Frontierland stop, even if you go all the way around and back to Frontierland. This will help you easily get to the other side of the park.
- Stop and grab a Dole Whip from Aloha Isle before enjoying a show!
- Country Bear Jamboree or Enchanted Tiki Room or both! These indoor shows will get you out of the heat of the day and are filled with song your little one will surely love!
- Jungle Cruise then head over for fulfilled ride with a skipper of your own!

Evening
8:00 PM – Evening Entertainment

- Grab a snack and find a good spot for the evening fireworks and projection show at Cinderella Castle. Arrive early for a good view and to settle in.
9:20 PM – Happily Ever After Fireworks Show
- Enjoy the nighttime spectacular, which is sure to mesmerize your little one with lights and music.
10:00 PM – Depart
- Firework show will last about 20 minutes but the crowds will leave right after, if you want to be in that crowd I recommend grabbing a spot on the top of Main Street. If you are ok hanging out for a bit it may be faster to get back to your car but under stand with a little on in toe, I recommend taking the Fairy boat back, if you choose to take the Monorail back it might be faster to take the Resort side, it does have a few stops before getting back to the ticketing centre but can have shorter lines.
