Disneyland announced several new dining options at their Downtown Disney District at the Disneyland Resort. If you’ve ever been to Walt Disney World in Orlando, Downtown Disney is similar to, but smaller than, Disney Springs.
Southern California’s Downtown Disney features several awesome shopping centers, dining locations, and more, all within walking distance to the Disneyland front gates. Now there’s some fabulous new restaurants open or coming soon to Downtown Disney.
Now Open! Jazz Kitchen Coastal Grill & Patio
Not necessarily a new location, but a major refresh of the decades-old Ralph Brennan’s Jazz Kitchen. The former Jazz Kitchen was known for it’s French Quarter flair, bold Cajun flavors, and famous fresh-from-the-oven (fryer?) beignets!
The new Jazz Kitchen is celebrating its reopening as Jazz Kitchen Coastal Grill & Patio, “a modern, casual and fun celebration of the Gulf and Pacific coasts and Beignets Expressed.” The all-day menu includes fan-favorites alongside new options such as Lobster & Crawfish Sliders, Chile-Spiced Honey Glazed Grilled Salmon, Gumbo LA-LA filled with seafood, the Grilled Open Faced Lobster BLT Po-Boy and the Reef & Beef, being described as “a delectable entree of grilled shrimp and braised short ribs.”
Finish you dining experience with a warm beignets! Beignets Express is a counter-service spot serving the classic New Orleans doughnut-esque treat with a twist. The specialty glazed beignets, come dipped. drizzled and sprinkled in a number of mouth-watering flavors. Signature versions include Snickerdoodle, Fruity Crunch and Bananas Foster.

New! Clyde’s Hot Chicken
Located near the Disneyland monorail, this cart serves up amazing Nashville hot chicken on a stick. The delicious fried chicken is handmade fresh daily and available in three different heat levels. Try the Hot as Cali with cayenne and habanero spices to really kick the heat up.
Coming Soon: The Alley
As you might be able to guess this spot takes up the courtyard next to Splitsville Luxury Lanes and features interactive games, live music, lounge areas and seats for dining. Coming this summer, guests can relax, play games and create memories while enjoying the awesome food and beverage selections from Splitsville.
If that’s not enough, future plans for Downtown Disney District include Din Tai Fung, a world-renowned Chinese restaurant known for its soup dumplings and noodles, a new Mexican cuisine at Paseo and Centrico by Michelin-starred Chef Carlos Gaytan, and finally some California-Cuban cheese rolls and pastries at Porto’s Bakery and Cafe!
