I am always looking for great deals on things for vacation! If you can plan out a few of your meals and pre-purchase gift cards or earn free gift cards, less out of pocket expense for your vacation. It is always my goal to have a few restaurant gift cards for vacation saved up.
Sometimes they are to places that we frequents and other times I will research places that I think we would like to try. I always travel with my stash of gift cards because you just never know when they could come in handy.
What is the best strategy? If you don’t have a Swagbucks account, I recommend signing up for one. (it is free) If you would like to use my link, we both get credit for friend recommendations.

I have used this site for many years and earned a lot of points back to redeem for gift cards. Once you are singed up, if you find the shop tab find buy gift cards. This will link you to MyGiftCardsplus.com you will have to set up a log in for the site. Then at least once a month I will check out what gift cards on on promotion. You will earn extra Swagbucks for purchasing specific types of cards, sometimes as much as 20% back.
Utilising the promotions page will help you maximise your “points” back. Some types never really get any additional discounts but that is ok because you are still earning between 5-7% back just with normal savings. I would much rather save 5% than nothing.
I use this type of strategy to help me not only save on vacation but in everyday life. I would much rather get 5% back then pay full price any day! There are other sites out there that are similar and you can earn cash back or rewards. I use these sites all the time and would never recommend something I didn’t use.
