Epcot, one of Walt Disney World’s most beloved parks, offers a blend of futuristic attractions, cultural showcases, and culinary delights. While the park is known for being more relaxed compared to others in the Disney lineup, there are still thrilling attractions that come with specific height requirements.
Attractions with Height Requirements
Here is a breakdown of Epcot attractions that have height restrictions:
- Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind: 42 inches (107 cm)
- Mission: SPACE: Green Mission (less intense): 40 inches (102 cm), Orange Mission (more intense): 44 inches (112 cm)
- Soarin’ Around the World: 40 inches (102 cm)
- Test Track: 40 inches (102 cm)
Attractions with NO Height Requirement
- The Seas with Nemo & Friends
- Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure
- Spaceship Earth
- Turtle Talk with Crush
- Living with the Land
- Journey Into Imagination with Figment
- Frozen Ever After
- Gran Fiesta Tour Starring The Three Caballeros
- Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana
Tips for Families with Younger Children
If you’re traveling with children who don’t meet the height requirements, there are still plenty of ways to enjoy Epcot:
- Interactive Play Areas: Attractions like Mission: SPACE and Test Track have engaging post-ride areas that kids can explore, even if they don’t meet the height requirements. Journey of Water, inspired by Moana is a wonderful walk-through area that everyone in the family can enjoy.
- World Showcase: Younger visitors will enjoy exploring the pavilions, meeting Disney characters, and participating in activities like Kidcot Fun Stops. Kidcot is a fun way to get kids to learn a little about each showcase.
- Rider Switch: If someone in your group doesn’t meet the height requirement, take advantage of Rider Switch. This allows one adult to wait with the non-rider while others experience the attraction. Then, the adults can switch without waiting in line again.
- Prepare the Kids: If your child is close to the height limit, prepare them for the possibility of not being able to ride. The best tip I have for those close to the height limit is to ride that ride first thing in the morning; you tend to be tallest in the morning. Also, make sure kids understand how to stand straight to get a proper measurement. This will give them the best shot at being able to ride.
Final Thoughts
Epcot is a park that truly has something for everyone. There are many unique things to do in the showcase. Don’t forget about all of the wonderful food as well! Epcot promises memories that will last a lifetime. Happy exploring!
